At the White Dress by the shore,
we believe in giving back. The fight against breast cancer is a cause that
is near and dear to our heart. Our sales associate Melissa Burns was
diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 5 1/2 months pregnant with her second
child.

We are happy to say that she is now a 2 year survivor and the proud mother of
Kaylie, age 2 1/2 who was born 3 1/2 months after Melissa's diagnosis.
It was the money that was raised
for research, that created the treatment for patients like Melissa. The
White Dress by the shore, in conjunction with several of our designers are
contributing money to various breast cancer organizations to not only further
breast cancer research and to find a cure, but to provide financial and moral
support to the thousands of women battling the disease.
We have placed the breast cancer
symbol next to several gowns on our Bridal Collection and Mother of the Occasion
pages. This symbol denotes that when the designated gowns are purchased, a
portion of the proceeds will be denoted to a specific breast cancer charity.
Melissa Sweet is donating money to
Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation and New Haven
based designer, Modern Trousseau is donating to
Dresses that Heal to Benefit the Breast Cancer Recovery
Foundation.
In addition, The White Dress by
the shore will be donating a portion of the proceeds from all gowns sold in the
month of October to
The Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation.
